Nyx & Emera was formed by friends and kindred spirits, Tabby Seppala and Kim Houston. Born from our desire to connect modern spirituality with ancestral healing practices, Nyx & Emera offers a variety of divinely-inspired rituals and tools to support others in unlocking their inner power.
Growing up in conservative religious households, we quickly realized that self-expression wasn’t exactly valued. Thus, we yearned for opportunities and spaces to simply be ourselves and develop our own sense of spirituality - without judgement or inhibition.
Nyx & Emera is the loving expression of that vision. As women of color, we strive to serve our community by creating a safe and inclusive space for spiritual exploration and personal truth. This is the experience we desire to create for all - nuturing, real, and free.

Tabby Seppala, Oracle, Master Herbalist, and Ancestral Birth Guide
As a proud Afro-Boricua American, Tabby believes birth work is a spiritual calling. As a Partera Curandera, she thinks it is necessary to form a true spiritual bond with mothers and that birth is a ceremonial rite of passage. Tabby has been a birth worker and advocate since 2006. Her affiliations with the military have allowed her to experience childbirth and birth work abroad and in various states. She is a proud graduate of Demetria Clark's Birth Arts International Midwife Assistant Program, Heart of Herbs Certified Herbalist, Medical Assistant, and ProDoula Labor Doula. As a born spirtiualist, Tabby carries on the generations-old rituals and practices of her maternal line, using her gift of mediumship and psychic ability to serve others.
Kim Houston, Sound & Vibrational Healing Practitioner and Spiritual Journey Guide
Mentored by spiritual teacher Iyanla Vanzant, Kim offers a fresh perspective. She guides our clients in looking within to shift their mindset to manifest greatness. She is also an African safari expert with nearly 20 years of experience in international retreat curation and uses nature to help restore balance in the lives of others. She graduated from the Inner Visions Institute for Spiritual Development and the University of Sedona. In addtion to being a Certified Sound & Vibrational Healer, Kim is an ordained minister of metaphysics. Her background allows her to serve creating healing experiences in transition, birth, and death. She teaches grace in womanhood.
